Harbourmaster Cast

Assorted people who do not live on Tethys, but impact the plot or general universe one way or another.

Alortan Bathurst
Human, general messenger/aide
A Veran on the low end of high society, working for the powerful Ukariel family to raise the prestige of his own. He gets stuck with all the jobs that involve going offworld and talking to non-Verans. He doesn't like his employers much but is loyal and dedicated regardless.
First Appearance: 092: Pulp: Prologue I

Richard 'Alpine Dick' Stevenson
Human, mountaineer/adventurer
The Man From The Past. The original Richard Stevenson died in Antarctica in AD1953 - Alpine is his clone. Alpine gradually accepted that he is ( by his subjective view ) in the future. He is not impressed with how things turned out.
First Appearance: 357: Pulp I

Aradneth the Legion

First Appearance: 325: The Tools To Make The Tools I

Tannic Bituah
Aquaan, agronomist
Bituah has a reputation for being a bit of a flake, vanishing without warning on some project and not reappearing for a decade or more. She is also prone to rambling and tangents in conversation. She is Partasah's donor parent.
First Mentioned: 021: Passage XIV
First Appearance: 443: And Earthly Things Be Done IV

Eigonshazar the Sundry
Yogzarthu
Eigonshazar worries about Aradneth more than Aradneth worries about itself. Anyone who says Eigonshazar is unfit because of this gets to take it up with Aradneth.

Faadiya Faraj
Human, space explorer/celebrity
b. AU1943, Capricorn
A Caprine famous founding two worlds ( one solo, one co-founded with Leo ) and for hosting New Worlds With Leo And Faadiya. A geologist by training, she had started funding her explorations with mineral samples, but barely covered expenses. Hearing about a fellow explorer in trouble, Leo proposed a team-up to promote Faadiya's work, but they ended up staying together indefinitely. Faadiya is a linktech user and uses linkdrone cameras to film poison planets. She is married to Leo Bressica.
First Appearance: 196: New Worlds With Leo And Faadiya I

Iahutta the Flock
Yogzarthu, 'General'
b. ? - d. AU2071, Thari
Iahutta is the most famous Yogzarthu, at least among humans, since it was the first one who spoke to humanity at large. Iahutta was immediately assumed to be the leader of the Yogzarthu because of this. It turned out not to be.
First Appearance: 089: Lone Wolf V

Jethin Basaday
Human, explorer/adventurer
The founder of Tethys, Jendolyn's grandfather, and the closest human friend Zefonith ever had. He was a mythology hobbyist, though he didn't always get it right.
First Mentioned: 080: Nothing Unless Asked VI
First Appearance: 439: Baby Pictures III

Jillienne 'Jille' Stelton
Human, princess, dairy farmer

First Appearance: 152: Disputed Territory X

Karamo Ukariel
Human, administrator
A Veran aristo. The head of the Ukariel family and generally considered to be the elected ruler of Wachiru ( by offworlders - Veran politics is more nuanced than that. ) Karamo is an intelligent, charismatic risk-taker with no qualms about finding ways around the laws he upholds. The Ukariels draw a fair amount of popularity from their historical endeavors and they often fund expeditions to Earth. It was Karamo's idea to hire Zefonith to clone a man who had been dead for unknown centuries in order to ask him about his time period.
First Mentioned: 093: Pulp: Prologue II
First Appearance: 405: Pulp XLIX

Leo Bressica
Human, space explorer/celebrity
b. AU1923, Miranda

While best known for hosting his show, he is also a chemist, and most of his exploration work is analyzing environmental samples from the various xenoworlds he visits. He is married to Faadiya Faraj.
First Appearance: 196: New Worlds With Leo And Faadiya I

Perius Monteblanc ( Bretnon Falstoph Perius Tallifens Monteblanc LV )
Human, administrator
b. AU2066, Veras
Tal and Anthemys' grandfather. Current head of the Monteblanc household and CEO of the family business. Perius is narcissistic, cynical, and generally treats the universe as his own personal toybox. He tends to do whatever he feels will yield the most entertaining results and his weapon of choice is emotional manipulation. Since Perius took over, the fortunes and prestige of the Monteblancs are higher than they've been in centuries, possibly because he cares so little about either that he'll take risks. He has a fondness for cats.

Perius is the one keeping tabs on Tal and Anthemys, either through quiet investigation or straight calling them up to talk ( and remind them that the family hasn't just forgotten about them. )
First Appearance: 178: Liens Familiaux II

Rejene Ri'el
Aquaan, bioengineer/doctor
b. AU1862, Thari
Ri'el is very soft-spoken, sincere, and self-confidant to the point of self-centredness. Also somewhat manipulative, since he actively uses the above to give off a quiet air of authority that tends to get him his way when his reputation alone doesn't. Generally this is used for nothing more menacing than securing project funding.

He is best known for being one of the scientists involved in the supersoldier program during the Yogzarthu War. While he has lived long enough to aquire a diverse skillset, he specialises in medical applications of cloning. He is the more practical one in his team-up with Zaha - she comes up with the ideas, he makes them work.

Ri'el and Zaha are paternal twins who were raised apart. He is the elder of the two by several days. They met as adults and decided to team up. He and Partasah used to be close friends. He and Gilou are in a long-distance relationship.
First Appearance: 201: Obscured Sight and Fancy Dreams I

Seisha Dree
Human, mercenary
b. AU2170, Mother
Seisha was one of the many people who signed up for the super-soldier program, but Partasah saw something in her that prompted him to make her a slightly different offer.

Seisha's genetic enhancements give her a regeneration factor even stronger than that of the Yogzarthu. She's not sure she can die now even if she wanted to.
First Appearance: 481: Week One I

Sihuatl the Plentiful
Yogzarthu
A visionary who understands the benefits of cooperation. Sihuatl has been trying to recuit like-minded Yogzarthu for some time. Sihuatl is capable of making sacrifices for later gain.
First Appearance: 328: The Tools To Make The Tools IV

Tallifens Monteblanc ( Bretnon Falstoph Perius Tallifens Monteblanc LVI )
Human, administrator
b. AU2102, Veras
Tal and Anthemys' father. He's convinced that Tethys is a pit of debauchery and that Partasah lured his son there with evil alien sex powers. He has not bothered to keep in touch with his children, prefering to assume the worst and complain about it.
First Appearance: 004: Drowning IV

Thunderfall Son Of Moonfragment Son Of Byriver
Human, warship captain
b. AU1991, Demeter
Some people just aren't suited for peace and Thunderfall didn't come into his own until the Yogzarthu attacked. He swiftly made captain of the warship White Tower.

Thunderfall tried to get into the supersoldier program but Partasah refused his application.
First Appearance: 301: Nonsense I

Ama Zaha
Aquaan, bioengineer
b. AU1862, Terra Nova
As charismatic as her sibling but in a different way - while Ri'el can convince committees to fund their projects, Zaha is more about getting others to open up on a more personal level. Zaha is perfectly happy to let Ri'el take most of the spotlight, since it gives her more time to work.

She is best known for being one of the scientists involved in the supersoldier program during the Yogzarthu War. While she has lived long enough to aquire a diverse skillset, she specialises in bacteria programming. She is the theorist in her team-up with Ri'el - she comes up with the ideas, he makes them work.

Ri'el and Zaha are paternal twins who were raised apart. She is the younger by several days. They met as adults and decided to team up. She and Partasah used to be close friends.
